Quincy Holy Family Fest, Inc. is a 501c3 operating in the state of Illinois. Our goal is to help Catholic families consecrate themselves to the Holy Family in order to live lives modeled after our Lord, His Blessed Mother, and St. Joseph.
Our Story
The idea behind an annual event held in Quincy, IL in order to help familes learn about family consecration began with a trip to the middle of nowhere in Ohio. The Youngs first visited Cathoilc Family Land (CFL) in the summer of 2019 after learning about it through a Facebook ad. Despite it raining heavily the entire week they were there, they fell in love with the Apostolate for Family Consecration (AFC). The Youngs made their initial consecration to Jesus, through Mary, in Union with St. Joseph shortly after returning.
In the summer of 2020, the Kerkhoffs and McDowells joined the Youngs for a week at Catholic Family Land. The best way to describe our family's exprerience is to point out that all 3 families have not missed a summer attending one of the AFC Holy Family Fests at CFL since.
Upon returning to Quincy in 2020, all 3 of our families were determined to bring the message of family Consecration to our hometown. The first step was to begin to host monthly Holy Family Gatherings (see here for more info about those). A year later, we organized and hosted the first Quincy Holy Family Fest. This has now become an annual event focused on bringing the message of family Consecration to as many families as possible. It has been such a blessing to all 3 of our families, we would love for you to join us at our next Quincy Holy Family Fest.
